The P4 charger incorporates highly sophisticated liquid cooling technology to maintain battery temperatures within a safe range, producing durability and a 3,000+ cycle battery warranty, unlike conventional fast-charging technology. At only 400 mm wide and with a power output of 40 KW, it is a scalable, affordable, and interoperable solution for a broad range of electric vehicles.
Such is not the case with high-voltage chargers elsewhere in the world, but Exponent is designing its P4 to be compatible with standardized lithium-ion cells, offering blistering charging without special battery chemistry.
