Fox ESS has launched its POWER BEAST commercial and industrial (C&I) energy storage solution in Australia, combining the company’s H3 Plus Hybrid Inverter with its modular CQ7 High Voltage Storage Battery. The new system is designed to simplify the deployment of C&I battery energy storage projects by reducing installation complexity, wiring requirements and on-site assembly time.
The POWER BEAST platform is built around the H3 Plus Hybrid Inverter, CQ7 High Voltage Battery and an optional CQ7 Dual Tower Base. The solution is designed to provide installers, engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) companies, distributors and project developers with a scalable energy storage platform for a range of commercial and industrial applications.
According to Fox ESS, traditional commercial battery systems can require extensive cabling, multiple connection points and significant on-site assembly. POWER BEAST addresses these challenges through a compact dual-stack configuration and plug-and-play installation approach, helping reduce the system footprint and simplify deployment.

The H3 Plus Hybrid Inverter is available with AC output capacities ranging from 50 kW to 125 kW and supports up to three independent battery inputs. When integrated with CQ7 batteries, a single H3 Plus inverter can support up to 292 kWh of energy storage capacity.
The platform can also be expanded for larger projects by deploying multiple POWER BEAST systems. For on-grid applications, the system can scale up to 3.125 MW of power and 7.35 MWh of energy storage capacity. For off-grid applications, the solution can reach up to 1.25 MW and 2.94 MWh.
Fox ESS said the system is also suitable for projects participating in Australia’s New South Wales Peak Demand Reduction Scheme (PDRS). For projects targeting the NSW PDRS BESS4 capacity range, a configuration comprising one H3 Plus 100 kW inverter and two CQ7 battery stacks provides approximately 195 kWh of storage capacity. This configuration is designed to help eligible projects maximise their potential incentive value under the scheme.
A key component of the POWER BEAST platform is the optional CQ7 Dual Tower Base. The accessory allows two battery stacks to be installed on a single shared base while keeping the overall system height below 1.3 metres. This compact design is intended to improve space utilisation in commercial and industrial installations where available space can be limited.
The system also features pre-installed power and communication connections, which Fox ESS said can simplify installation and reduce potential wiring risks. The company’s plug-and-play approach is intended to minimise the amount of on-site work required during system deployment.
POWER BEAST is designed to integrate multiple energy assets and applications within a single platform. These include solar photovoltaic (PV) generation, battery energy storage, emergency power supply (EPS) backup, generators and electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure.
Fox ESS said the modular system can also support faster installation, with individual modules designed to be installed in approximately five seconds. The combination of modular battery architecture and simplified electrical connections is expected to help reduce installation time and improve deployment efficiency for C&I projects.
The launch comes as demand for commercial and industrial battery energy storage systems continues to grow, driven by the need for energy cost management, backup power, renewable energy integration and greater grid flexibility. C&I battery systems can enable businesses to store excess solar generation, manage peak electricity demand and provide backup power during grid outages.
By combining the H3 Plus Hybrid Inverter, modular CQ7 High Voltage Storage Battery and Dual Tower Base, Fox ESS aims to provide a flexible platform that can be configured for different project sizes and operating requirements. The company’s focus on modularity and simplified installation could also help EPCs and installers reduce project complexity as the C&I energy storage market expands.
The Australian launch further strengthens Fox ESS’s presence in the country’s growing energy storage market, where commercial battery systems are increasingly being deployed alongside rooftop solar, EV charging infrastructure and other distributed energy resources.
