Juniper Green Energy has already commissioned, in the nearby Gujarat state, in its Dev Bhumi Dwarka district, about 25 MW out of its 50 MW wind power plant project almost 3 months before its Scheduled Commercial Operation Date (SCOD) of October 17, 2025.
The company has developed the project under its subsidiary, Juniper Green Beam Private Limited, which has entered into a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) with pricing paid at the full 50 MW capacity. In 2023 the PPA was signed.
“This early commissioning of the Dev Bhumi Dwarka wind project reflects our strong project execution capabilities and adherence to timelines. We remain committed to accelerating India’s clean energy transition through reliable and sustainable power delivery,” said Ankush Malik, CEO of Juniper Green Energy.
Commissioning forms a part of the company expanding the renewable energy portfolio in Gujarat and its long-term goals to help decarbonize India.
This was on top of another precedent set earlier in the same month, July 2025, when Juniper Green Energy, through its subsidiary Juniper Green Bess Two Private Limited, signed another PPA with GUVNL; this time, it is a wind power project of 100 MW capacity. The company had also won a Letter of Intent (LoI) for another 50 MW wind project by GUVNL making it further well placed in the renewable energy sector of the state.
The company (Juniper Green Energy) maintains its presence in India, especially in the wind and solar industry by timely deployment and appropriate collaborations with the state utilities.
