HEC Infra Projects Limited has won a significant ₹16.35 crore order from Advait Greenergy Private Limited for the design, supply, and installation of a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in Gujarat. The project, part of a larger 60 MW / 115.37 MWh BESS initiative, is set to enhance renewable energy integration and provide stable, reliable power to the local grid. This order demonstrates HEC Infra’s growing expertise in energy storage solutions and its contribution to India’s clean energy transition.
Project Scope and Technical Details
The BESS project will be implemented at the 220 kV Radhanpur Substation in Patan district, Gujarat. HEC Infra’s responsibilities include the supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of all Balance-of-System (BoS) components, ensuring the system operates efficiently and reliably. The installation will support energy storage, grid stabilisation, and renewable energy management, allowing for better integration of intermittent solar and wind generation in the region.
With this project, HEC Infra continues to expand its portfolio in large-scale energy storage systems, reflecting the growing demand for advanced technologies that enhance grid resilience and optimize renewable energy utilisation. The company’s expertise in executing turnkey BESS projects positions it as a trusted partner for private and public sector clients looking to adopt modern energy storage solutions.
Strategic Significance for Gujarat and India
Battery Energy Storage Systems are critical to the expansion of India’s renewable energy infrastructure. By enabling smooth integration of renewable power and mitigating grid fluctuations, BESS projects like this help reduce reliance on conventional fossil-fuel generation. This installation at Radhanpur Substation will not only strengthen the state’s energy infrastructure but also support Gujarat’s ambitious renewable energy targets, contributing to India’s broader net-zero and clean energy goals.
The ₹16.35 crore order marks a major step for HEC Infra in establishing a foothold in India’s growing BESS market. As renewable energy deployment accelerates nationwide, projects of this scale are expected to proliferate, driving demand for advanced storage technologies. Successful execution of the Radhanpur BESS project will further position HEC Infra as a leader in India’s energy storage sector, showcasing its ability to deliver reliable, efficient, and scalable renewable energy solutions that support a sustainable energy future.
