Indian Green & Battery Stocks Roundup – August 19: Eveready Surges Nearly 7%

Indian Green & Battery Stocks Roundup – October 24

Battery and green energy stocks displayed strong momentum on August 19, 2025, with most counters trading in the green, reflecting renewed investor appetite for the energy storage and electrification theme. The rally was led by Eveready Industries India Ltd., which surged 6.87% to ₹438.1, marking it as the day’s top performer among battery stocks.

Exide Industries also netted a gain of 4.38% finishing at ₹392.8, from the positive outlook on EV batters. Amara Raja Energy finished up 3.45% better at ₹990.5, firmly cementing its position as a heavyweight in India’s battery ecosystem. Panasonic Energy India as well realize the upside, congestion of wad 2.65% to finish at ₹344.7.

Among other gainers, HBL Engineering Ltd. climbed 2.20% to ₹789.85, and High Energy Batteries moved up 0.87% to ₹617. Tata Power, a diversified clean energy leader, closed with modest gains of 0.48% at ₹389.15, while Indo-National Ltd. held steady at ₹469.4 without any change.

On the downside, CLN Energy Ltd. slipped 1.99% to ₹514.5, the sharpest fall of the day, while Waaree Technologies ended marginally lower by 0.07% at ₹297.65.

In conclusion, notwithstanding a few subdued adjustments, the battery stocks basket continues to benefit from India’s accelerated EV transition, backed energy policies in clean energy, and demand for advanced storage technologies globally. Analysts are confident, despite the continued short-term volatility in the sector in every day movements, in the continued long-term growth of the sector.
