Indian Green & Battery Stocks Roundup – August 29

Battery and energy storage stocks in India closed mostly in the red on July 11, with only Eveready Industries and CLN Energy Ltd. ending in positive territory. Investor sentiment appeared cautious as the sector faces short-term technical corrections, despite long-term optimism around PLI-linked manufacturing, green hydrogen, and grid-connected storage growth.

Eveready Industries India Ltd. led the gainers with a 1.63% jump to ₹364.75, rebounding from last session’s loss and signaling strong retail accumulation around key support levels. CLN Energy Ltd. also extended its upward movement, rising 1.00% to ₹634 as it builds on investor interest in its utility-scale storage projects.

On the downside, Waaree Technologies registered the sharpest fall of -2.40%, closing at ₹283, likely due to continued profit booking after a recent rally. Exide Industries and High Energy Batteries saw corrections of -2.13% and -1.99% respectively, reflecting near-term consolidation in high-valuation stocks.

HBL Engineering, Panasonic Energy India, Indo-National, and Tata Power also saw modest dips, while Amara Raja Energy remained relatively stable with only a -0.65% decline.

With India’s clean energy sector and Battery Stocks continuing to expand across EVs, grid-scale storage, and gigafactory planning, market participants remain selectively bullish, awaiting clearer policy signals and upcoming quarterly results.
