Indian Green & Battery Stocks Roundup – July 7

Battery stocks traded on a cautious note on July 3, 2025, with the sector experiencing a mix of gains and pullbacks as investors recalibrated positions after recent highs. While some battery stocks like Eveready Industries and HBL Engineering extended gains, others like CLN Energy and High Energy Batteries saw profit booking. The overall tone remained neutral to mildly optimistic as the market awaits fresh cues from both domestic policy and global clean energy demand.

CLN Energy Ltd., one of the most watched battery stocks, saw a 2.31% dip to ₹557 after a strong 5% surge the previous day. Analysts view this as a healthy correction amid continued investor interest in EV-linked battery plays. Meanwhile, High Energy Batteries and Tata Power also closed in the red, shedding 1.68% and 1.66% respectively, reflecting near-term caution in the green energy segment.

However, the battery pack was not without bright spots. Eveready Industries India Ltd. emerged as the day’s top gainer with a 1.56% rise, closing at ₹318.6. The stock attracted momentum from strong retail demand and optimism around India’s two-wheeler EV market. HBL Engineering Ltd. added 1.47%, continuing its upward trend on the back of its robust battery solutions portfolio and industrial tie-ups.

Indo-National Ltd., Panasonic Energy India, and Amara Raja Energy posted modest gains, underscoring the resilience in legacy battery players. Even Waaree Technologies and Exide Industries ended marginally higher, showcasing investor confidence in their long-term energy storage strategies.

Battery stocks continue to stay in focus as the government advances initiatives like the PLI scheme for ACC battery manufacturing and state-level incentives for EV and energy storage adoption. As India builds toward a sustainable energy economy, battery stocks remain central to portfolio strategies for long-term green returns.
