Indian Green & Battery Stocks Roundup – July 7

Battery stocks traded sideways on July 4, 2025, reflecting cautious optimism across India’s clean energy and storage sectors. The session saw a balance of gains and pullbacks, with investors continuing to rotate positions amid policy signals and quarterly outlooks. While some players like Indo-National Ltd. and High Energy Batteries posted impressive upticks, others like HBL Engineering and Panasonic Energy India saw mild corrections.

CLN Energy Ltd., one of the most closely tracked battery stocks, remained flat at ₹557 after Wednesday’s 2.31% dip. The stock is in consolidation as investors await cues from both global battery material pricing and domestic EV production forecasts. Meanwhile, HBL Engineering Ltd. shed 1.42% to close at ₹627, reflecting near-term selling despite its strong fundamentals in industrial battery solutions.

On the brighter side, Indo-National Ltd. led the gainers with a sharp 2.36% jump to ₹477.9, buoyed by rising expectations around grid-storage batteries. High Energy Batteries followed with a 1.99% gain, continuing its uptrend supported by defense orders and lithium-ion portfolio expansion.

Legacy leaders like Amara Raja Energy (+1.15%) and Eveready Industries (+1.77%) also posted healthy gains, underscoring resilient investor sentiment toward diversified battery plays. Exide Industries, Waaree Technologies, and Tata Power ended modestly higher, hinting at stable confidence in long-term energy transition themes.

Battery stocks remain central to clean tech portfolios as government initiatives like the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme for advanced chemistry cells and localized battery production gather steam. With policy clarity and infrastructure support on the rise, the outlook remains positive for India’s energy storage segment.
