Indian Green & Battery Stocks Roundup – September 29

Battery and green energy sector stocks posted a mixed performance on June 23, with a few standout gainers defying broader market caution. Stock-specific action dominated the session as investors continued to evaluate near-term risks and opportunities in clean energy plays.

High Energy Batterie emerged as the top gainer of the day, jumping 5.00% to close at ₹717.35, as investor interest returned to high-performance battery stocks following recent dips. Close behind was CLN Engineering Ltd., which surged 4.98% to ₹399.6, likely supported by optimism surrounding new project deployments in the EV components segment.

Waaree Technologies also saw buying interest, gaining 1.83% to ₹295, signaling continued strength in solar-linked counters amid favorable policy cues. Tata Power rose 0.62% to ₹392.5, while Amara Raja Energy posted a modest 0.31% uptick, closing at ₹973.5, suggesting accumulation by long-term investors.

On the downside, HBL Engineering slipped 1.98% to ₹566.95, possibly due to profit-taking after a strong previous session. Indo-National declined 0.88% to ₹462.5, while Eveready Industries India and Exide Industries also lost ground, closing down 0.72% and 0.43% respectively.

Panasonic Energy India ended marginally lower by 0.20% at ₹390.45, reflecting muted activity despite the company’s strong legacy credentials in the energy storage segment.
