Insolation Energy Limited (INA), through its subsidiary Insolation Green Energy, announces the groundbreaking of a major solar manufacturing project on August 25. The facility, located on a 26,500-acre plot in the Narmadapuram district of Madhya Pradesh, will include a 4.5 GW solar cell manufacturing plant and an 18,000 MT aluminum frame unit. This milestone marks a significant step forward in expanding India’s renewable energy manufacturing capacity.
The new plant, which will be located on over 45 acres within the Manufacturing Zone for Power and Renewable, Mohasa Babai, is estimated to cost around 1,600 crore. Additionally, the project will stimulate over 1,600 jobs, both directly and indirectly. Moreover, it will create more locally available employment opportunities. Furthermore, this initiative is expected to provide significant impetus to the renewable energy supply chain. Consequently, the local economy will benefit from increased activity. In addition, INA highlights the project’s potential to strengthen the overall renewable energy sector. Ultimately, this development represents a major step forward in sustainable growth.
The function was graced by Manish Gupta, Chairman & Whole-Time Director and Vikas Jain, Managing Director, Insolation Energy and other senior dignitaries.
Capacity augmentation in Rajasthan
IN parallel, INA has also started its operations in India at its new 3 GW PV module factory, also based along the Delhi-Ajmer Expressway in Jaipur, Rajasthan. This has increased the total output module capacity by the group to 4 GW.
“This will be our fourth manufacturing facility and the first outside Rajasthan. The new facility will strengthen our ability to cater to rising demand for solar modules across India,” said Manish Gupta, Chairman & Whole-Time Director, Insolation Energy.
Vikas Jain, Managing Director, Insolation Energy added, “This venture reflects our confidence in the long-term future of India’s solar industry. Partnering with Madhya Pradesh for this project marks a significant milestone in our growth journey.”
