iNVERGY Inaugurates BESS Giga Factory in UP to Boost India’s Energy Storage Capacity

iNVERGY India Pvt. Ltd, a leading player in energy storage and power solutions, has announced the launch of its advanced Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Giga Factory in Dasna, Uttar Pradesh. Built with an investment of over ₹200 crore and an annual production capacity of 3 GWh, the facility marks an important step in India’s move toward energy independence and sustainable development.

Spread across 217,000 square feet, the fully automated plant is among the country’s largest battery energy storage manufacturing units. It will produce advanced BESS systems, LiFePO4 battery packs, solar inverters, and integrated energy storage solutions to serve residential, commercial, industrial, and utility-scale renewable energy needs.

The facility brings together advanced technologies such as AI-powered Battery Management Systems (BMS), IoT-based remote monitoring, modern quality control systems, and highly automated production lines. These features are designed to ensure better safety, reliability, and overall performance.

The timing of the launch is significant, as India continues to expand its renewable energy capacity and modernise its power infrastructure. By strengthening domestic manufacturing, the facility is expected to reduce import dependence while supporting the country’s clean energy targets and energy security goals.

This inauguration comes after a strong financial year for GP Eco Solutions India Limited, the parent company of iNVERGY. In FY 2025–26, the company reported consolidated revenue of ₹418 crore, reflecting a growth of around 69% compared to the previous year. Net profit also rose sharply to ₹40.1 crore, up from ₹10 crore in FY25, driven by improved efficiency, rising demand, and wider adoption of renewable energy solutions.

The company said this performance was supported by increasing demand for solar inverters, lithium battery systems, Battery Energy Storage Solutions (BESS), and integrated clean energy technologies across residential, commercial, industrial, and utility-scale segments. Continued investment in manufacturing expansion, innovation, and market reach has further strengthened its position among India’s fastest-growing clean energy companies.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Deepak Sharma, Managing Director of iNVERGY, said, “The commissioning of our BESS Giga Factory is not just a manufacturing milestone but a step towards India’s sustainable future. As renewable energy adoption grows, reliable storage solutions will be key to building a strong and self-reliant energy system. Through this facility, we aim to deliver advanced technologies while supporting the vision of Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat.”

Mr. Astik Mani Tripathi, Co-founder of iNVERGY, added, “This investment is not only about products but about long-term value creation, innovation, and growth. ” We are building a strong base for the future of energy storage in India while also creating jobs, advancing technology, and supporting the country’s clean energy goals.”

The facility is expected to generate significant employment opportunities, both direct and indirect, while also boosting technological innovation and strengthening India’s position as a global hub for advanced energy storage manufacturing.

Aligned with India’s Net Zero goals, the Make in India initiative, and the broader clean energy roadmap, the factory will play an important role in accelerating renewable energy adoption and supporting the country’s transition toward a greener future.

With this launch, iNVERGY reaffirms its commitment to providing innovative, reliable, and sustainable energy solutions that support industries, businesses, and communities across India.
