Kosol Energie Pvt Ltd has signed a landmark ₹90,000 crore investment Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2026, held this month in Rajkot. The agreement, inked in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel, underscores a major commitment to expand India’s clean energy infrastructure and support long‑term sustainability goals.
Strategic Investment in Clean Energy Ecosystem
Led by Chairman and Managing Director Kalpesh Kalthia, Kosol Energie’s investment plan aligns with the Government of India’s Make in India, Atmanirbhar Bharat, and Viksit Bharat 2047 initiatives. The focus of the investment will be on scaling up solar manufacturing, green hydrogen, and green ammonia projects key pillars of India’s future clean energy ecosystem.
The MoU covers development of advanced solar module manufacturing facilities, next‑generation research and development centres, large‑scale renewable energy parks, and integrated green energy ecosystems. According to the company, these initiatives are expected to strengthen Gujarat’s position as a global hub for clean energy innovation and manufacturing.
Boosting Employment and Economic Growth
The ambitious project is projected to create over 100,000 direct and indirect jobs and significantly contribute to regional economic development. It also aims to foster international collaborations in renewable energy and green industrial solutions.
Commenting on the development, Chairman and Managing Director Kalpesh Kalthia, Kosol Energie said, “The presence of the Prime Minister and the Gujarat Chief Minister at Vibrant Gujarat 2026 reinforces the government’s strong commitment to sustainable development. Kalthia also noted that Kosol Energie has received global recognition for technology leadership and execution excellence, including ranking among top Tier‑1 global solar manufacturers by Wood Mackenzie. The company views renewable energy not merely as a technology but as a transformative movement that supports energy independence, economic expansion, and environmental stewardship.
Future Expansion and Opportunities
In addition to Gujarat, Kosol Energie said it remains open to exploring large‑scale investments across other Indian states to accelerate the country’s progress toward its Net Zero targets while creating employment opportunities for local communities.
