MBAK Energy launches its first electric taxis in Nairobi, accelerating Africa's shift to clean, fossil-free mobility solutions.

MBAK Energy is proud to announce the arrival of its first fleet of electric taxis for assembly at Carbon Zero Mobility (CZM), our official local partner in Nairobi, Kenya. This milestone marks a major leap in MBAK’s expansion into the African market and a bold step toward sustainable transportation across the continent.

The response has been overwhelming—with pre-orders already underway for 700 electric motorcycles in West Africa and growing interest across other African countries, MBAK has increased its 2026 sales forecast from 2,000 to an ambitious 10,000 units.

The Nairobi launch underscores the immense potential of Africa’s EV industry and MBAK Energy’s commitment to delivering clean, innovative mobility solutions at scale. Stay tuned as we continue to electrify Africa, one city at a time!

MBAK Energy is involved in the creation, production, and marketing of items that don’t use fossil fuels. MBAK specializes in solid-state, lithium, and sodium batteries, as well as supply chain and manufacturing equipment for batteries.
