The Madhya Pradesh Jal Nigam (MPJN) has issued bids to develop a 100 MW sun-oriented solar power field under the abilities system, and it is proposed to be built in the locale of Mandsaur, Madhya Pradesh.
The final bid submission date changes to 22 August 2025, and in this case the bids will be opened on 25 August. The interested bidders would be asked to deposit earnest money of Rs 5 million and a tender fee of Rs 50,000.
The Scope of work encompasses the end-to-end designing, engineering, procurement, construction, erection, testing and commissioning of the project and a complete operation and maintenance (O&M) support lasting 25 years.
Of the conditions imposed regarding the land requirement, the appointed bidders shall buy land parcels in the identified revenue areas at a personal level with an aim of securing contiguity. When the government land identified is inadequate, bidders can make use of it by acquiring more land of their own at their expense and at their own peril.
The project requires complying with solar modules, cells that are on the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM)—ListI and II.
In order to be qualified, the bidder needs to have in place and commissioned either:
- The minimum cumulative capacity of grid-connected, ground-mounted solar projects, 25 MW, and
- One or more ground-mounted solar projects with at least 10 MW of capacity within the previous seven years.
Moreover, bidders should prove to have a net worth of about Rs 600 million.
The new tender is a result of a recent move by MPJN to create a 60 MW grid-connected wind power project that can be increased to 62 MW depending on the size of wind turbine generators to be utilized. Consultancy services by the same 100 MW solar and 60 MW wind under the group captive model were also the focus of the agency last year.
In another development this year, Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam invited a tender to develop rooftop solar projects during January 2017 with a total capacity of 2.215 MW in the government-owned buildings in Chhindwara, Dhar, and Seoni, whereas Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam had invited a tendering process in March regarding the development of rooftop solar projects of 2.215 MW in the government buildings in three states: Chhindwara, Dhar, and Seoni.
