NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with The Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) to jointly explore and develop renewable energy (RE) projects across various technologies. The agreement was formalized today in Hyderabad.
The MoU was exchanged in the presence of N Balram (IRS), Chairman and Managing Director, SCCL, along with senior officials from both organizations.
Through this collaboration, NGEL and SCCL will identify and pursue business opportunities in the renewable energy sector, including solar, wind, and hybrid power projects. The partnership will also assess advanced clean energy options such as energy storage systems, green hydrogen and its derivatives, and green mobility solutions.
This initiative supports the strategic objectives of both organizations to expand clean energy capacity and accelerate India’s shift toward sustainable and low-carbon energy systems.
