Navratna PSU NLC India Limited (NLCIL) has started the third and final phase of its 300 MW solar project at Barsingsar in Bikaner. This is a major milestone in the company’s growth in renewable energy. This project greatly reinforces NLCIL’s dedication to clean energy and matches the country’s renewable energy goals.
Final Phase Now Commercially Operational
In a regulatory filing with the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and BSE Limited under SEBI Regulations 30 and 51, NLCIL confirmed that the third phase of the Barsingsar solar project, which has a capacity of 141.17 MW, started commercial operations on January 24, 2026.
- The Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Limited (RRECL) issued the Part Commissioning Certificate for this phase on the same date.
Earlier Phases and Project Completion
The Barsingsar project was implemented in three phases:
- Phase 1: 52.83 MW, operational since August 26, 2025
- Phase 2: 106 MW, operational since November 2, 2025
- Phase 3: 141.17 MW, operational since January 24, 2026
With the third phase completed, the entire 300 MW solar project is now fully operational. This marks an important milestone in NLCIL’s renewable energy journey.
Renewable Capacity Expansion
- Following the completion of the Barsingsar project, NLCIL’s total installed renewable energy capacity has risen to 1,766 MW.
- The company’s total installed power generation capacity is now 7,726 MW. This strengthens its role as an important player in India’s power sector.
