Oben Electric, a homegrown electric motorcycle manufacturer driven by R&D in India, has announced a significant expansion plan for Gujarat. The company intends to open 10 new showrooms and service centers in key cities such as Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, Rajkot, and Jamnagar in 2026.
This expansion follows the impressive success of the Oben Rorr EZ Sigma, the company’s next-generation electric commuter motorcycle that has rapidly become popular among urban riders who seek performance, reliability, and intelligent features combined with a sporty design.
Currently, Oben Electric operates a showroom and an Oben Care service center in Memnagar, Ahmedabad, staffed by platinum-certified technicians. The growing retail presence reflects the brand’s commitment to enhancing accessibility and service quality for EV enthusiasts across India.
During a media session at the Ahmedabad outlet, Sagar Thakkar, co-founder & chief product officer (CPO) of Oben Electric, stated:
“The positive response to our Rorr EZ Sigma reinforces the growing shift towards electric commuting solutions tailored for everyday riders. The Rorr EZ Sigma offers a seamless balance of power, practicality, and smart connectivity, meeting the evolving needs of India’s urban commuters. The enthusiastic response from Gujarat has motivated us to expand into major cities such as Vadodara, Surat, Rajkot, and Jamnagar as we continue our mission to make electric motorcycles more accessible nationwide.”
The Rorr EZ Sigma, priced from ₹1.29 lakh (ex-showroom), comes in 3.4 kWh and 4.4 kWh variants, delivering a range of up to 175 km and a top speed of 95 km/h. Riders can select from three modes—Eco, City, and Havoc—depending on their riding style and terrain. The model features Oben’s patented LFP battery, which provides 50% higher heat resistance and twice the lifecycle compared to conventional lithium-ion batteries.
Equipped with advanced features like reverse assist mode, a 5-inch TFT display with navigation and smart alerts, and an ergonomic seat design, the Rorr EZ Sigma is positioned as a comprehensive daily commuting solution. Customers can book the motorcycle for ₹2,999, with availability on Amazon and Flipkart, including additional card-based discounts.
To celebrate the festive season, Oben Electric has launched its Mega Diwali Utsav, offering benefits worth up to ₹35,000. This includes a ₹20,000 launch discount (already included in the pricing), cashback of up to ₹10,000, a gold coin with every purchase, and a chance to win an iPhone.
Oben Electric currently operates more than 50 showrooms across India, covering major markets such as Karnataka, Maharashtra, Delhi, Jaipur, Amritsar, Hyderabad, Kochi, and Lucknow. The company plans to expand this network to 150 showrooms and service centers by the end of FY2026, further strengthening its vision to build a robust and customer-centric EV ecosystem in India.
