POWERCHINA shines at Mali's first renewable energy expo

From April 28 to 30, local time, Mali hosted its first International Digital Innovation and Renewable Energy Expo in Bamako, where POWERCHINA Mali Representative Office, a key sponsor, made a strong impression.

At the expo, POWERCHINA’s booth highlighted its technological achievements in Mali across various sectors, including renewable energy, water infrastructure, and mining. Notable projects such as the Gouina and Félou hydropower stations and the Bamako International Airport terminal drew significant attention from Malian government officials and industry representatives.

POWERCHINA is currently working on Phase I of the Safou Solar and Storage Power Station Project, the largest solar and energy storage initiative under construction in Mali. This project underscores the company’s commitment to advancing Mali’s energy infrastructure.

POWERCHINA’s participation in the expo reinforced its collaboration with the Malian government and local enterprises, showcasing its expertise in renewable energy and infrastructure development.

The expo aimed to aid Mali and the Sahel Alliance countries in tackling climate change, enhancing energy access, and transitioning from traditional fossil fuels to renewable energy, as well as address Mali’s current energy challenges through multi-sectoral exchanges and discussions.

PowerChina (Power Construction Corporation of China) is a state-owned enterprise specializing in energy and infrastructure development. It provides integrated solutions in hydropower, thermal power, renewables, and smart grid systems. With a strong global presence, PowerChina is a key player in engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects across over 100 countries.
