REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), REC Limited, has established two wholly owned subsidiaries through its wholly owned subsidiary for intra-state transmission projects in Bihar and Maharashtra.

Alkud II Power Transmission Limited and Vikramshila Power Transmission Limited are the two businesses. According to Section 2(87) of the Companies Act, 2013, both businesses are subsidiaries of REC Limited as well as fully owned subsidiaries of RECPDCL.

Vikramshila Power Transmission Limited was incorporated on August 24, 2026, with its Certificate of Incorporation received on August 25, 2026. The company has an authorised capital of ₹5,00,000 and paid-up capital of ₹5,00,000. Its turnover is not applicable as it is a newly incorporated company and is yet to commence its business.

The company has been incorporated for the Evacuation of Power from 3×800 MW STPP Pirpainti project. The Government of Bihar, through its Gazette Notification dated May 7, 2026, allocated the intra-state transmission project, for which RECPDCL has been appointed as the Bid Process Coordinator (BPC).

Following the selection of the successful bidder in accordance with the Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) guidelines, Vikramshila Power Transmission Limited would be transferred to the successful bidder along with all assets and liabilities.
