Relux Electric has commissioned a 60 kW electric vehicle (EV) charging station at the Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC) facility in Sahibabad, Uttar Pradesh, marking a significant milestone in the expansion of EV infrastructure in India’s logistics sector. The installation is notable as the first EV charger deployed at a warehouse location in North India, reflecting the growing integration of clean mobility solutions within supply chain and warehousing ecosystems.
Strategic Location for Logistics and Fleet Operations
The new charging station is in a good spot at the CWC Sahibabad warehouse, which is a major hub for moving and storing goods in the area. The development is expected to help more people and businesses switch to electric vehicles by making it easier to get to fast charging stations at such an important logistics hub.
Designed to cater to a wide range of users, the 60 kW charger provides rapid charging capabilities for electric cars as well as commercial vehicles, helping reduce turnaround time and improve operational efficiency for fleet-based applications.
Boost to Commercial EV Adoption
The deployment solves one of the biggest problems with getting people to use electric vehicles: making it easy to charge them in places where they are used a lot, like logistics hubs. Fleet operators can better manage vehicle uptime now that warehouse facilities can charge them faster. This makes electric mobility a more viable alternative to traditional fuel-based transportation.
The move aligns with the broader industry trend of electrifying last-mile delivery and logistics operations, where reliable charging infrastructure plays a crucial role in scaling adoption.
Strengthening EV Charging Network
Relux Electric is expanding its EV charging network across India with this installation. The company is focusing on high-impact locations that support both urban mobility and industrial operations. The company’s focus on adding charging stations to logistics ecosystems is expected to speed up the move toward more environmentally friendly transportation even more.
The Sahibabad deployment highlights the evolving role of warehousing hubs as critical enablers of EV infrastructure, bridging the gap between mobility demand and charging availability.
