Roofsol Energy Signs PPA with Ganesh Consumer Products for 2.55 MWp OPEX Solar Projects

Roofsol Energy Pvt Ltd has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Ganesh Consumer Products Limited for the development of a 2.55 MWp OPEX-based solar power project across multiple locations in India. The agreement marks another significant step toward advancing corporate renewable energy adoption and sustainable manufacturing practices in the FMCG sector.

The project will be implemented under the OPEX model, enabling Ganesh Consumer Products to source clean energy without upfront capital investment, while supporting long-term operational sustainability.

Project Scope and Locations

The solar installations will be deployed across Ganesh Consumer Products’ facilities located in Howrah, Islampur, Agra, and Hyderabad. Once operational, the combined capacity of 2.55 MWp is expected to generate approximately 3.8 million units of green electricity annually.

This clean energy generation will help offset nearly 3,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions each year, contributing significantly to the company’s environmental responsibility goals and reduction of its overall carbon footprint.

Supporting Sustainable Manufacturing

Ganesh Consumer Products Ltd, a well-established name in the FMCG sector, is known for its focus on quality-driven manufacturing and evolving consumer needs. Through this solar partnership, the company continues to strengthen its commitment to sustainable production practices while ensuring energy reliability across its operations.

The initiative aligns with broader industry trends where FMCG manufacturers are increasingly turning to renewable energy solutions to enhance environmental performance and meet sustainability targets.

Strengthening Roofsol Energy’s Market Presence

With this agreement, Roofsol Energy further reinforces its position as a trusted renewable energy partner for industrial and commercial clients. The company has been steadily expanding its OPEX solar portfolio, supporting businesses in transitioning to clean energy through customized and scalable solutions.

The partnership with Ganesh Consumer Products reflects Roofsol Energy’s continued focus on delivering efficient, long-term solar solutions that help clients achieve both economic and environmental benefits.

This latest PPA underscores the growing momentum of corporate solar adoption in India and highlights the role of collaborative partnerships in accelerating the country’s clean energy transition.
