In the CEO position, Brajesh will handle the operations for the city’s primary electricity provider, and he will ensure reliable energy delivery across Chandigarh.
As a key subsidiary of Eminent Electricity Distribution Limited—which falls under the broader CESC power umbrella of the RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group—CPDL is central to the group’s retail and distribution strategy. Kumar’s leadership is expected to bring a fresh perspective to the company’s management of Chandigarh’s power grid and retail services.
Brajesh Kumar is a seasoned veteran of the energy industry, moving into this CEO role with a wealth of high-level experience. He most recently served as the Chief Operating Officer at BSES Yamuna Power Limited, where he spent years navigating complex leadership challenges and refining power distribution models. His deep understanding of the sector makes him a strategic fit for the RPSG Group as they continue to streamline power delivery in the region.
