Sharika Enterprises Limited has secured an order worth ₹1.77 crore from NTPC Limited for the supply, installation, commissioning, and annual maintenance of integrated solar street lighting systems in the peripheral villages of NTPC Talcher in Odisha.
The order, valued at ₹1,77,16,200, was disclosed by the company through a regulatory filing under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015. The contract involves a comprehensive scope, including execution and a long-term five-year annual maintenance contract (AMC).
The project incorporates high-efficiency solar photovoltaic modules, intelligent LED luminaires with automated dimming and motion-sensing features, maintenance-free battery systems, and robust pole structures, aimed at ensuring reliable, energy-efficient lighting and improved safety in rural areas.
The execution phase of the project is scheduled to be completed within six months, followed by the extended maintenance period.
Commenting on the development, Rajinder Kaul, Chairman and Managing Director, Sharika Enterprises, said, “Solar-powered infrastructure plays a vital role in improving energy efficiency, enhancing safety, and supporting sustainability objectives across large utility and industrial campuses. Our continued association with NTPC and other leading institutions reflects our focus on delivering reliable, long-term solutions aligned with the evolving needs of the power sector.”
Sharika Enterprises stated that the contract does not involve any related party transactions, and that the promoter, promoter group, or group companies have no interest in NTPC Limited, ensuring full compliance with regulatory and disclosure requirements. The project has been classified as a domestic contract.
Beyond the NTPC Talcher initiative, Sharika Enterprises is associated with solar infrastructure projects across multiple NTPC locations, including Angul, Tanda, Unchahar, and NETRA, reflecting continued collaboration and confidence in the company’s execution capabilities.
The company has established credentials in the renewable energy sector, with experience in solar power projects up to 5 MW capacity and the deployment of over 15,000 solar LED street lights across India. It also has a strong presence in solar rooftop solutions, having executed projects for organisations such as NTPC, NHPC, SECI, PGCIL, Indian Railways, and other public sector and institutional clients.
The order is expected to provide immediate revenue from project execution along with recurring income through the long-term AMC, further strengthening Sharika Enterprises’ position in India’s solar-powered infrastructure and rural electrification landscape.
