Shweta Solar Highlights Growing Importance of Long-Term Customer Support for Rooftop Solar Systems

As rooftop solar adoption continues to grow across India, homeowners are increasingly looking beyond installation and focusing on the long-term support that follows. Along with installing a solar system, consumers are now paying closer attention to maintenance, service availability, and ongoing technical assistance throughout the system’s lifespan.

“Customers have started getting more curious to know what happens after a rooftop solar system is operational,” said Shweta Solar Pvt. Ltd, a fast-growing company in the renewable energy sector. Now, questions about maintenance, warranty support, system inspection, and service response are often asked during customer interactions.

The rapid expansion of the rooftop solar market has recently introduced thousands of new consumers to solar energy. While lowering electricity bills continues to be a key reason for adopting rooftop solar, many homeowners also want to understand how their systems will perform over the long term and where they can seek assistance whenever required.

Mr. Abhishek Garg, Head of Operations, Shweta Solar Pvt. Ltd, said, “People are no longer looking only at the installation process. They also want to know what kind of support will be available after the system is commissioned. Questions about maintenance, warranty and service have become a regular part of customer discussions. This reflects the growing maturity of the rooftop solar market.”

Shweta Solar continues to provide customer support even after it has completed the installation process. The company supports homeowners with routine servicing, maintenance requirements and performance-related queries as and when required. Its teams also educate customers on how to maintain the system properly so that rooftop solar installations operate efficiently over the years. “Timely support solves technical problems and enhances customers’ confidence in their investment,” the company says.

A rooftop solar system is expected to last for many years, so periodic maintenance is an important part of consistent performance. Regular inspections and simple servicing will help to keep it efficient and reduce the risk of unexpected technical problems. The industry also believes routine maintenance helps identify minor problems before they start affecting the generation of electricity.

According to Shweta Solar, after-sales support has become an increasingly important factor for homeowners when comparing different rooftop solar solutions. Customers are seeking companies that can offer dependable service alongside quality products, giving them greater confidence in their long-term investment.

Mr. Garg added, “A rooftop solar system is expected to remain in service for more than two decades. It is therefore natural for customers to ask about the support they will receive throughout that period. Good service helps build confidence and contributes to the long-term performance of the system.”

Industry observers believe customer expectations are evolving as rooftop solar becomes more widely adopted across residential markets. Along with product quality and system performance, the overall service experience is emerging as another key factor influencing homeowners’ purchasing decisions.

In the country, it is increasingly the preferred energy choice for households. As installations grow larger, homeowners are looking beyond the installation process itself.

“Discussions around service support, maintenance and long-term system performance are becoming more and more common. This indicates that many buyers now see rooftop solar as a long-term investment rather than just a way to benefit from a government scheme,” said Shweta Solar.
