Uttarakhand Floats 100MW/250MWh Standalone BESS Tender

Sineng Electric has successfully delivered 576 MW of power conversion systems (PCS) to the Khavda Energy Park, a landmark renewable energy project developed by the Adani Group. Utilizing its central PCS solution, this installation marks one of the world’s largest single-location Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) deployments. Once completed, the facility will achieve a total capacity of 1,126 MW / 3,530 MWh, establishing it as India’s largest BESS installation.

Enhancing Grid Stability and Renewable Integration

The BESS is set to play a pivotal role in peak load management, reducing transmission congestion, and mitigating solar curtailment, ensuring more reliable and efficient grid operations. The integration of advanced lithium-ion battery technology and sophisticated energy management systems will optimize performance, supporting round-the-clock clean electricity and India’s low-carbon transition goals.

Strategic Deployment and Operational Excellence

Currently in advanced deployment stages, the Khavda Energy Park stands as the world’s largest renewable energy and storage hub. Sineng Electric’s PCS systems are designed to enable energy shifting, stabilize supply, and facilitate continuous renewable energy integration, underpinning India’s energy security.

Adani Group’s Renewable Expansion Roadmap

As of September 2026, the Adani Group operates 16.7 GW of renewable capacity and plans to expand its BESS portfolio by 15 GWh by March 2027, with a long-term target of 50 GWh over five years. This project represents a cornerstone of India’s clean energy evolution, enabling grid reliability, renewable integration, and sustainable energy access.

Sineng Electric’s Global Strategy

India remains a strategic market for Sineng Electric, which has spent the past eight years aligning global technology with local energy requirements. Building on its established PV business network, the company continues to collaborate with local energy players, supported by a localized value chain covering manufacturing, operations, and services.

By leveraging technological expertise and proven delivery capabilities, Sineng Electric is reinforcing its international footprint while contributing to a cleaner, resilient, and reliable energy system.
