SJVN Green Energy Ltd has invited bids for 951 MW solar projects under PM-KUSUM Component C to boost rural solarization in Maharashtra.

SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL), a fully owned subsidiary of SJVN Limited, has floated a tender of 951 MW solar power projects under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) component C.

The tender was numbered as SGEL/CHQ/Contracts/Contracts/EPC PM KUSUM 951 MW/2025; it was issued on July 1, 2025, and the deadline given to make the bids was July 22, 2025. The project has 74 separate solar projects that will be established in different places in Maharashtra. Besides commissioning the projects, the winning bidder will be expected to carry out a significant operation and maintenance (O&M) of the plants over the next three years.

It is classified as the KUSUM initiative 2.0, or KUSUM 2.0, which is a part of the bigger government of India initiative towards encouraging decentralized solar energy generation, especially in rural regions under the Maharashtra State Kusum Vikas Yojana (MSKVY). Component C of PM-KUSUM would solarize agricultural feeders and contribute towards achieving the renewable energy ambitions of the state; connections of farmers will also be made energy secure.

The floating of the tender by SGEL headquarters at Shanan, Shimla, is a momentous initiative in the process of fulfilling solar energy potential according to the targets of Maharashtra and India under the umbrella of the National Solar Mission.

Interested EPC players and others can get the details of the entire tendering documents on the official tender portal of SGEL.
