SK Signet has announced the launch of its new 400kW All-in-One ultra-fast EV charger, designed to enhance both energy efficiency and space utilisation. The next-generation system uses high-density silicon carbide (SiC)-based power modules and an advanced power design.
With this launch, the company aims to strengthen its leadership in high-power charging technology in North America and expand its presence in the fast-growing U.S. EV charging infrastructure market.
Focus on Performance and Reliability
Hyungki Cho, CEO of SK Signet, said, “The new 400kW All-In-One model is a breakthrough that simultaneously innovates power efficiency, density, and reliability.”
He added, “As high-power demand accelerates across the U.S., SK Signet will spearhead the evolution of ultra-fast charging networks by utilizing our unrivaled leadership in technology.”
Designed for High-Power EV Charging Needs
The charger is developed to meet rising demand from electric vehicles using 800V high-voltage battery systems. It integrates power cabinets and dispensers into a single compact unit, simplifying installation and reducing construction costs.
The system can deliver 150–250 kW charging to multiple vehicles while also supporting full 400 kW output for high-voltage EV platforms.
Advanced SiC Technology and Efficiency
The charger is built on a high-density SiC-based architecture that ensures stable high-power charging while minimising energy loss. The company stated that it offers “up to 96.5% power conversion efficiency,” along with improved thermal management for continuous performance.
Scalable and Future-Ready Design
The modular architecture allows flexible power configurations of 320 kW, 360 kW, or 400 kW. Operators can scale capacity by adding modules instead of replacing entire systems. This “pay-as-you-grow” approach helps reduce initial investment while ensuring long-term scalability for future EV demand.
Compact Design with 54% Space Reduction
The new All-in-One design takes up about 54% less space when installed than older models. This makes it good for places with limited space, like parking lots in cities, shopping malls, and gas stations. It also increases the amount of power per site.
Enhanced User Experience and Global Expansion
The charger includes features such as liquid-cooled cables, flexible connector options, a 32-inch touchscreen, and support for multiple payment methods including Plug & Charge and RFID.
SK Signet has finished developing and is now making its first products in the United States. The company wants to sell the product in Europe by the end of the year and then expand to other parts of the world as part of its long-term plan.
