Smarten Power Systems, an Indian provider of solar energy and power backup solutions for both residential and commercial customers, released its business report for Q1 FY27, for the quarter that concluded on June 30, 2026. Operational advancements in sales, distribution, manufacturing, and infrastructure characterised the quarter.
During the quarter, the company sold approximately 1.18 lakh units across its product portfolio, led by demand for home UPS systems, solar power conditioning units (PCUs), batteries, and solar panels. The quarter also witnessed heightened demand for power backup solutions amid elevated summer temperatures and increased electricity consumption across several parts of northern India.
To support seasonal demand and improve inventory management, Smarten commissioned an additional 5,200 sq. ft. warehouse in Gurugram, Haryana, strengthening its warehousing and logistics capabilities for key markets in northern and north-western India. Continuing its focus on expanding market reach, the company onboarded 32 new distributors across nine states, further strengthening its distribution network across North, East, West and South India.
The quarter also saw the launch of the HELIX 1100–1250 series, a new range of MPPT-based solar power conditioning units (PCUs), expanding Smarten’s solar product portfolio. The company additionally introduced two new battery models to strengthen its energy storage offerings.
Commenting on the company’s operational performance during the quarter, Rajnish Sharma, Whole Time Director & Chief Executive Officer, Smarten Power Systems, said, “The demand environment for power backup and solar solutions continues to evolve alongside changing energy consumption patterns and increasing emphasis on energy resilience. Our focus during the quarter remained on ensuring that our operational capabilities kept pace with these requirements through investments in manufacturing, distribution and service infrastructure. We remain dedicated to strengthening our operational capabilities and expanding access to reliable power backup and solar energy solutions across our markets.”
On the manufacturing front, Smarten recorded its highest monthly in-house battery production of approximately 6,600 units in June 2026 at its battery manufacturing facility in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh. The company is also progressing the development of its upcoming manufacturing facility, which is expected to enhance its production capacity upon commissioning.
During the quarter, Smarten also expanded its in-house after-sales service capabilities while continuing to operate through its established network of franchise service centres. The company stated that it remains focused on meeting the increasing demand through operational excellence, continued product innovation, expansion of its distributor network and enhanced customer service capabilities.
