In a bid to accelerate India’s clean energy transition, Statcon Energiaa and Su-vastika, two leading names in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), power electronics, and renewable energy, have entered into a formal collaboration to jointly promote and deploy lithium-based BESS solutions across India and select international markets.
Announcing the partnership, Kunwwer Sachdev, founder of Su-kam and popularly known as the ‘Inverter Man of India’, stated:
“My vision is clear – to eliminate the need for DG sets in both residential and commercial sectors by empowering India with reliable, efficient BESS solutions.”
Manoj Pande, Founder and Managing Director of Statcon Energiaa, emphasized the future-ready nature of the collaboration:
“With the aspirations of a rising New India, we firmly believe lithium batteries are the future. This partnership empowers us and our channel partners with a complete range of lithium-based solar hybrid solutions designed for diverse customer needs.”
According to industry estimates, India’s BESS market is poised to grow rapidly—expanding from USD 7.8 billion in 2024 to over USD 32 billion by 2030, at a CAGR of nearly 27%, driven by decarbonization and the shift to lithium-ion technologies.
Key Focus Areas
The partnership combines Statcon Energiaa’s expertise in BESS, grid feed, and hybrid solar inverters with Su-vastika’s patents and innovations in lithium batteries, BESS, and lift inverters. Together, the companies aim to pool technological know-how, share intellectual property, and strengthen R&D to create advanced, scalable, and cost-effective storage solutions.
Khushbboo Sachddev, Co-founder of Su-vastika, highlighted the collaborative approach:
“This is the era of collaboration, not competition, for Indian power electronics companies.”
This unified vision is further strengthened by investment from Rotomag Enertec Ltd, which holds a majority stake in both companies. Umesh Balani, Managing Director of Rotomag, underscored the broader ambition:
“We aim to consolidate the solar industry in generation and storage technologies, enabling accelerated growth and international expansion for both companies.”
The Statcon–Su-vastika partnership marks a significant step in India’s journey toward a greener, smarter, and more sustainable energy future, while positioning Indian firms to capture a greater share of the global BESS market.
