Gurugram based EV charging network provider Statiq has decided to invest Rs 400 million for the development of electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure for residential and commercial projects.

StatiqAccording to the company, residents of the complexes will receive free hardware installation as well as free vehicular charging for the first year.

Their plan is initially to focus over the Delhi-NCR region, later followed up by metropolitan cities, and finally on all Indian urban regions.

Statiq’s goal with this plan is to increase EV charging facilities in strategic locations across the country to cater to the maximum number of EV users in the country.

Reportedly, Statiq will outfit each charging hub with two 7.7-kW type-2 connectors for new-generation four-wheeler passenger vehicles and two 3.3-kW smart sockets for all EVs.

With this ambitious plan, the company is getting closer to its goal of adding over 20,000 new EV chargers to its network by the end of the year.

In March 2022, Statiq partnered with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), a state-owned refining and marketing corporation, to boost the number of public Statiq charges in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Uttarakhand.
