Renewable energy company Sunsure Energy has announced the appointment of Santhosh Kumar TN as Deputy General Manager (DGM) – Land Acquisition and Project Development, strengthening its leadership team as it continues to expand its renewable energy portfolio.

Santhosh Kumar brings significant experience in the renewable energy sector, with a career spanning some of India’s prominent clean energy companies. His expertise in land acquisition, project development, and managing critical aspects of renewable energy projects will support Sunsure’s growth strategy in India’s rapidly evolving clean energy market.

Land acquisition has become a key strategic component for renewable energy developers as India continues to add renewable capacity at an accelerated pace. The availability of suitable land, regulatory approvals, and project readiness play an important role in ensuring the timely execution of large-scale solar and other renewable energy projects.

In his new role at Sunsure, Santhosh Kumar will focus on strengthening the company’s land acquisition efforts and supporting project development activities. His experience is expected to help streamline project execution, identify opportunities, and contribute to the company’s expansion plans.

Sunsure stated that the addition of Santhosh Kumar comes at a time when the renewable energy industry is witnessing strong momentum, driven by increasing demand for clean power and India’s ambitious renewable energy targets. The company highlighted that experienced professionals with specialized knowledge in land acquisition and project development are becoming increasingly important as developers scale up their clean energy portfolios.

The appointment reflects Sunsure’s focus on building a strong team capable of supporting the next phase of renewable energy growth. With increasing investments in solar, energy storage, and other clean energy technologies, efficient project development and land management are expected to remain crucial for the industry.

Santhosh Kumar’s experience and sector knowledge will play a key role in helping Sunsure navigate project development challenges and accelerate the delivery of renewable energy projects across India.
