Suzlon Energy has appointed Manjari Upadhye as President of Renewable Energy (RE) Asset Management Services, strengthening its leadership team as the company continues to expand its presence across the renewable energy sector.
Upadhye joins Suzlon from the Mahindra & Mahindra Auto Division, where she held a senior leadership role. Over her 27-year career, she has worked with leading global companies including Welspun, Amazon.com, Danone, Mondelez (Cadbury), PepsiCo and Colgate-Palmolive, taking on a range of leadership and business management responsibilities, including CEO-level roles.
She brings extensive experience in consumer and FMCG businesses, with expertise spanning end-to-end P&L management, brand development, distribution expansion and profitable business growth across India, the US and Asia-Pacific markets.
Upadhye holds an MBA in Marketing and Finance from the Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), Delhi. Her professional experience includes managing businesses ranging from startups to organizations with revenues of up to $10 billion.
In her new role at Suzlon, Upadhye will be responsible for leading the company’s renewable energy asset management services, leveraging her experience in business strategy, operational leadership and P&L management.
The appointment comes as renewable energy asset management becomes increasingly important for maximizing the performance, reliability and long-term value of wind and other renewable energy assets.
With her cross-sector leadership experience and track record of driving business growth, Upadhye is expected to contribute to Suzlon’s continued focus on strengthening its renewable energy operations and customer relationships.
