Suzlon Group Appoints Paulo Fernando Soares as President – Europe to Drive Global Expansion

Suzlon Group has announced the appointment of Paulo Fernando Soares as President – Europe, marking a strategic move to accelerate its global growth agenda and strengthen its presence across key European wind energy markets.

The appointment aligns with Suzlon’s long-term strategy to deepen international operations, enhance customer engagement, and expand its renewable energy footprint beyond India. Paulo Soares will be responsible for leading Suzlon’s European business, overseeing market expansion, strategic partnerships, and execution of growth initiatives across the region.

Strengthening Leadership for European Markets

Paulo Fernando Soares brings with him over three decades of global leadership experience in the renewable energy and power sectors, with a strong track record across Europe, Latin America, and Asia. His expertise spans business development, project execution, operations, and large-scale market expansion within the wind energy ecosystem.

Suzlon said the appointment reflects its intent to reinforce regional leadership as the company pursues new opportunities in Europe’s rapidly evolving renewable energy landscape, driven by energy security priorities and decarbonisation commitments.

Driving Suzlon’s Global Growth Strategy

In his new role, Soares will focus on expanding Suzlon’s market presence, strengthening customer relationships, and supporting the deployment of advanced wind energy solutions tailored to regional requirements. He will also play a key role in aligning Suzlon’s European strategy with its broader global ambitions.

Commenting on the appointment, Suzlon Group leadership said the move underscores the company’s commitment to building a strong international leadership team capable of delivering sustainable growth and operational excellence across global markets.

Leadership Perspective

Speaking on the development, Paulo Fernando Soares said that Europe represents a critical market for wind energy growth and innovation. He emphasized his focus on working closely with customers, partners, and stakeholders to support energy transition goals while strengthening Suzlon’s competitive positioning in the region.

Supporting the Energy Transition

Suzlon highlighted that Europe continues to be a key pillar of its international strategy, given the region’s accelerated renewable energy targets, offshore and onshore wind opportunities, and emphasis on clean energy security. The company believes that strengthened leadership will enable it to better support customers and contribute to Europe’s renewable energy transition.

With this appointment, Suzlon continues to reinforce its global leadership framework while advancing its mission to deliver reliable, sustainable, and scalable renewable energy solutions worldwide.
