Tata Motors Unveils Nexon EV 45 with Level 2 ADAS Starting at Rs 17.29 Lakh

The Nexon EV 45 has been launched by Tata Motors with a Level 2 ADAS package and a price that ranges around 17.29 lakh (ex-showroom). This update comes with such premium features as ambient cabin lighting and rear sunshades to make it more comfortable. In addition to this, Tata has already introduced the Nexon.ev Dark, a fashionable version of the vehicle at Rs 17.49 lakh (an additional 20,000 over the normal ADAS form). The EV will be available online and at Tata dealerships, where customers can book it and soon the deliveries will start.

The new Empowered + A model features new advanced Level 2 ADAS, such as Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR), Lane Centering System (LCS), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Lane Keep Assist (LKA), Forward Collision warning (FCW) to vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians, Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) with multi-object detection, and Auto High Beam Assist (HBA).

This model is slightly higher than the preceding Empowered + 45 which sold at Rs 16.99 lakh at a price premium of approximately Rs 30,000.

The other features are identical to the already existing Empowered + trim, including a panoramic glass roof, front seats that are ventilated, a 12.3-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, and a 9-speaker JBL sound system. The 45-kWh battery is the only option in the ADAS package, and it has a range of 489 km (ARAI-certified) or about 350-370 km (real-world) on the C75 test cycle. The motor produces 145 hp and 215 Nm of torque.

Its battery can be charged from 20 to 80 percent in approximately 40 minutes and a quick charge of 15 minutes can give the car almost 150 km of range. Also, the Nexon EV 45 has a lifetime warranty on the battery for the original owner, which is another feature that increases its long-lasting value.
