    Tata Power Boosts EV Charging Network in Eastern Uttar Pradesh

    Tata Power Boosts EV Charging Network in Eastern Uttar Pradesh

    In Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Tata Power has announced the opening of a new EV charging station. By linking cities like Sultanpur, Ballia, and Gorakhpur, this installation seeks to improve connectivity throughout Eastern Uttar Pradesh. Greater accessibility for EV users is made possible by the project’s opening of a corridor from Ballia to Lucknow.

    A 30kW charger at Puneet Auto Sales in Ballia serves as the network’s initial location, while another 30kW charger is accessible at the Sarvodya Digital Library in Azamgarh, enabling travel over a 130-kilometer radius. A 60kW fast charger is located at Shalimar Corporate Park in Lucknow, after Sultanpur has a 30kW charger at Motel Nh56.

    By constructing an easily accessible EV charging infrastructure, this project supports Tata Power’s objective of assisting India’s transition to electric mobility while also improving connection between Eastern and Western Uttar Pradesh. Through the installation of charging stations in key places including hotels, roads, shopping centers, auto dealerships, and offices, the company hopes to bridge infrastructure gaps and satisfy the rising demand for electric vehicles.

    Tata Power’s EZ Charge network is vast, spanning more than 550 cities and towns and featuring over 5,500 charging points spread out throughout different segments. It also includes over 100,000 home charger installations. The network also includes more than 1,100 bus charging points, with operations in cities such as Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, and Jammu.
