Tata Power Engages in Clean Energy and Biodiversity Dialogue at Naturenomics® Forum 2025

Tata Power participated in the 13th Eastern Himalayan Naturenomics® Forum 2025, held in Guwahati, in collaboration with the Balipara Foundation, contributing to deliberations centered on the intersection of nature, communities, and sustainable energy development. The forum brought together diverse stakeholders to discuss pathways for balancing ecological preservation with inclusive economic growth in the Eastern Himalayan region.

According to the company, Tata Power’s participation reflected its continued commitment to advancing the clean energy transition while supporting community-led solutions for nation building. The company highlighted the importance of integrating sustainability into energy planning, particularly in ecologically sensitive regions.

Tata Power’s leadership team, including Mr. Himal Tewari (CHRO & Chief – Sustainability & CSR), Mr. Devanand Pallikuth (Chief – Solar O&M), Mr. Manoj Gupta (Chief – Rural Electrification), and Ms. Vaishnavi Prabhakaran (Head – Sustainability), actively participated in discussions during the forum. The leaders shared insights on scaling renewable energy deployment, strengthening energy security, enabling community participation in energy initiatives, and embedding biodiversity considerations into long-term energy infrastructure planning.

The company stated that the forum provided a valuable platform for engaging in dialogue on renewable energy leadership and the sustainable future of the Eastern Himalayas. Tata Power engaged with stakeholders on the evolving role of clean energy in supporting ecological balance while driving inclusive growth in regions with unique environmental and social contexts.

Through a dedicated exhibition stall at the event, Tata Power showcased its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives and highlighted its biodiversity commitments. The company noted that these efforts reinforced its belief that climate action must be driven by a combination of innovation, responsible planning, and measurable on-ground impact.

Tata Power expressed pride in being part of the collective dialogue at the forum, emphasizing its focus on contributing to resilient, nature-positive development pathways. The company reiterated that collaborative platforms such as the Naturenomics® Forum play an important role in shaping a sustainable and inclusive energy future, particularly for ecologically sensitive regions like the Eastern Himalayas.
