Jinendra Patil

Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL) has appointed Jinendra Patil as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO), where he will be responsible for leading financial strategy, governance, business partnering, and stakeholder engagement to support the company’s ongoing growth, project execution, and operational excellence.

Patil is a seasoned finance professional with over 18 years of experience across corporate finance, strategic planning, financial reporting, mergers and acquisitions, treasury management, and governance within the Tata Power ecosystem.

Prior to this appointment, he served as Group Financial Controller at Tata Power Company Limited, where he managed consolidated and standalone financial reporting, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), taxation, insurance, shared services, finance transformation, and board-level reporting responsibilities.

He has also previously led the M&A and Strategic Finance function at Tata Power, contributing to key investment decisions and long-term strategic initiatives. Earlier in his career, Patil served as CFO of Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited, where he oversaw financial reporting, controllership, governance, and strategic financial planning.

His experience further includes leadership roles in corporate MIS, budgeting, treasury, and project finance across Tata Power and Coastal Gujarat Power Limited, giving him deep exposure to large-scale infrastructure and power sector financial operations.

With a strong background in financial leadership and renewable energy business strategy, Patil is expected to play a key role in strengthening TPREL’s financial discipline while supporting its aggressive expansion in solar, wind, and hybrid energy projects across India.

The appointment comes at a time when India’s renewable energy sector is witnessing rapid growth, requiring strong financial governance and capital allocation strategies to support large-scale capacity addition.
