Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL) has inaugurated CREAMS the Centre for Renewable Energy Analytics, Monitoring & Scheduling a next-generation command hub designed to integrate solar, wind, rooftop, and scheduling operations into a single intelligent platform. The initiative marks a significant step toward enhancing operational efficiency and data-driven decision-making in renewable energy management.
The centre is built to provide portfolio-level visibility, enabling operators to identify performance gaps and monitor scheduled versus actual energy generation for timely corrective actions.
AI-Driven Insights for Improved Grid Performance
CREAMS leverages advanced AI and machine learning technologies to optimise renewable energy operations. It incorporates intra-day forecasting capabilities to improve scheduling accuracy, while turbine analytics help detect inefficiencies at an early stage.
The system is expected to make energy delivery more reliable and consistent by allowing decisions to be made more quickly and based on data. As renewable energy capacity grows, industry platforms have been talking more and more about how digital command centers can help deal with intermittent problems and keep the grid stable.
Leadership Highlights Strategic Milestone
The facility was inaugurated in the presence of key leadership, including Dr. Praveer Sinha, CEO & MD of Tata Power, Mr. Sanjay Banga, CEO & MD of TPREL, Mr. Ashwinikumar Patil, Chief O&M, Quality & CSR – RE, and Mr. Devanand Pallikuth, Chief – Solar O&M, along with employees.
The launch reflects Tata Power’s continued focus on integrating advanced technologies to strengthen its renewable energy portfolio and operational capabilities.
Driving a Smarter Renewable Energy Ecosystem
The introduction of CREAMS aligns with broader industry trends where companies are investing in digitalisation and intelligent monitoring systems to manage large-scale renewable assets efficiently. With increasing penetration of solar and wind power, such platforms play a critical role in balancing supply, improving forecasting accuracy, and ensuring seamless grid integration.
Supporting India’s Clean Energy Transition
As India speeds up its goals for renewable energy, programs like CREAMS by Tata Power are expected to help the country make the switch by making operations smarter and energy management better. The platform shows that Tata Power Renewables is still committed to innovation and its role in making the clean energy ecosystem more resilient and technology-driven.
