Tata Projects has announced the appointment of Nilesh More as Assistant Vice President (AVP) and Head of Business Development for its Transmission & Distribution (T&D) Strategic Business Unit. The appointment is aimed at strengthening the company’s business development strategy and supporting its growth plans in India’s evolving power and infrastructure sector.

Nilesh More brings nearly two decades of professional experience across the power transmission, engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC), renewable energy, and infrastructure industries. Over the years, he has built expertise in business development, strategic partnerships, market expansion, customer engagement, and driving growth initiatives in the energy sector.

His experience is expected to support Tata Projects’ efforts in expanding its presence in the Transmission & Distribution segment, which has become increasingly important amid India’s growing electricity demand, renewable energy expansion, and the need for stronger power grid infrastructure.

The Transmission & Distribution sector plays a critical role in enabling the integration of large-scale renewable energy projects, improving grid reliability, and supporting the country’s energy transition goals. With increasing investments in power transmission networks, renewable energy corridors, and grid modernisation projects, companies with strong EPC capabilities are focusing on expanding their expertise and execution capacity.

In his new role, Nilesh More will focus on strengthening business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and supporting the company’s market expansion initiatives within the T&D segment. His appointment reflects Tata Projects’ continued emphasis on building leadership capabilities and enhancing its position in India’s infrastructure development ecosystem.

Tata Projects has been involved in delivering major infrastructure projects across sectors including power, water, transportation, urban infrastructure, and industrial development. The company’s T&D business focuses on delivering solutions across power transmission networks, substations, and related infrastructure required for India’s growing energy needs.

The appointment comes at a time when India’s power sector is undergoing significant transformation, driven by renewable energy capacity additions, electrification, and the government’s focus on improving energy security and infrastructure resilience.

By bringing in an experienced professional like Nilesh More, Tata Projects aims to further strengthen its strategic approach in the Transmission & Distribution market and contribute to the development of a more efficient and reliable energy infrastructure network in India.

The company expressed confidence that his industry experience and leadership capabilities will support the next phase of growth and innovation across its T&D business operations.
