The Celestial Earth and the Celestial Earth Development Council have announced a formal collaboration with Chandigarh Power Distribution Ltd. (CPDL) through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This partnership aims to provide comprehensive support in renewable energy integration, DISCOM load research, and building load profiling.
Leveraging an advanced machine learning-powered geospatial building energy simulation platform, the collaboration will focus on advancing Solar Rooftop (RT) Capacity Addition Planning for CPDL.
Through this platform, CPDL will be able to:
- Assess solar rooftop potential at the building level
- Develop standard load profiles for buildings and distribution transformers, while evaluating their impact on the distribution network
- Identify necessary network capacity upgrades to facilitate seamless integration of renewable energy and electric mobility
This strategic partnership is set to strengthen sustainable energy efforts and drive smarter energy management in Chandigarh’s distribution network.
“We look forward to an impactful collaboration with CPDL, leading to innovative, scalable, and replicable solutions that can support distribution utilities across the country in their clean energy transition.” said Anindya Bhattacharya Anindya Bhattacharya, Executive Director, The Celestial Earth.
