Tigo Energy Expands in Czech Republic with New Solar-Plus-Storage Portfolio

Tigo Energy introduces IPOC, which uses software to enable inverter AC power derating for adaptable, legal solar system improvements.

Tigo Energy, Inc., a proponent of intelligent solar and energy software solutions, said that all of its three-phase Tigo EI inverters have passed the certification tests for conformance with the Czech Republic’s PPDS P4 regulations. In order to connect solar inverters to the Czech Republic’s grid, they must comply with PPDS P4, also known as Distribution System Operation Rules, Annex 4, which verifies that the devices meet the technical requirements set forth by the European Commission and accepted by regional utility companies. Thousands of Czech installers have implemented Tigo products over the last ten years, following the spread of quick shutdown requirements throughout Europe. In 2024, installers in the Czech Republic will have installed around 107MW of Tigo MLPE.

The introduction of the Tigo EI Residential system, a well-known and reliable brand in the Czech solar installation industry, takes use of the country’s 967MW of rooftop solar power, mostly residential, that will be added in 2024. The Tigo EI Residential system integrates all aspects of energy management, storage, and solar power generation into a single, integrated solution. The system combines all system wiring, communication, and a complete backup system into a single, small cabinet. It includes TS4 Flex MLPE, single- and three-phase inverters, modular battery storage, and the EI Link. Furthermore, Tigo provides the GO Junction, which incorporates heat pumps into the energy management mix, and the GO EV Charger, which incorporates e-mobility straight into the EI platform. These developments offer a really comprehensive energy solution for contemporary houses that are intelligent, expandable, and prepared for the energy shift.

“Tigo securing this certification for inverter operation on the grid infrastructure of the Czech Republic means that installers like us now have a reliable, all-in-one solution that is easy to install and configure, with a flexible, modular architecture that fits a wide range of residential customer needs,” stated Miroslav Vavera, CEO at SUNLUX s.r.o. “Beyond installation, Tigo also offers proactive monitoring through the Energy Intelligence software platform, which will significantly streamline our operations and maintenance program. For homeowners, this means a system that is always ready to deliver energy security, even during outages, elevating the role of batteries from optional add-ons to essential pillars of energy independence, all easily managed through a user-friendly app.”

Tigo’s dedication to Total Quality Solar is further demonstrated by the installer-focused improvements it has made to the design, installation, and commissioning of its products. These improvements were created using inputs gathered from hundreds of engagements through the Tigo Green Glove Service Program. The company has greatly enhanced the installation experience with a simplified commissioning sequence in the Tigo EI Residential Solar Solution, which cuts down on setup time and guarantees smooth integration between Tigo inverters, batteries, and the EI Link. Reduced installation and setup time with fewer manual steps, improved installer self-sufficiency with tools and resources that streamline system deployment and troubleshooting, and smooth system optimization for improved system performance and reliability are some of Tigo’s key commissioning enablers.

“As one of our strongest global markets, the expansion of the Tigo EI Residential solution into the Czech Republic is yet another sign that integrated solar-plus-storage from Tigo continues to gain momentum across Europe,” stated Jing Tian, chief growth and revenue officer at Tigo Energy. “This certification allows us to bring the value of an integrated home energy system that delivers real benefits to Czech homeowners and the skilled professionals who serve them.”

A detailed list of Tigo-certified solar installers in the Czech Republic is available to homeowners here. On the Tigo event site, Czech installers and PV experts may sign up to meet with Tigo at the Iftech Solar Fvest in September 2025. Tigo distribution partner Iftech hosts an all-day event called Iftech Solar Fvest where solar installers may get a personal look at the EI Residential Solution and learn more about its capabilities. Additionally, installers are encouraged to register for the July EI Residential Solution webinar for solar installers in Czech.
