Tongwei Unveils 770W Solar Module With Industry-Leading 93.07% Bifaciality

Tongwei Unveils 770W Solar Module at Intersolar Europe 2026, unveiling the next-generation TNC 3.0 BIFIMAX module and the upgraded TNC 2.0 G12R-48 module for residential applications. The new products combine high-efficiency technology for utility-scale solar projects with visually appealing rooftop solutions, reflecting the company’s focus on meeting the evolving needs of global solar markets.

The highlight of the event was the global launch of the TNC 3.0 BIFIMAX module, a significant technological innovation designed to maximise energy output, especially in high-reflectivity situations.

The module comes with TÜV Rheinland certification, a power output of up to 770W, a conversion efficiency of up to 24.8%, and an industry-leading bifaciality rate of 93.07%. That higher bifaciality means you can generate a lot more power from the rear side, and that translates into better project economics. Tongwei also says a 100 MW solar facility in Hamburg, Germany, could create 81.62 million kWh of clean electricity in its lifetime, while bringing in an extra €180,000 a year compared with conventional modules.

The module is also designed for harsh operating conditions. Featuring a low temperature coefficient of -0.26%/°C, it maintains high performance even under elevated temperatures. Its proprietary Louvred Interconnection technology further enhances durability by improving micro-crack resistance by more than 100%, thereby providing greater resilience against heavy snow loads and strong winds.

To cater to the growing demand for premium residential solar solutions, Tongwei also introduced the upgraded TNC 2.0 G12R-48 module. The module offers power output of up to 480W and conversion efficiency of up to 24%. With a compact footprint of less than 2 m², it is designed to maximize rooftop space utilization while simplifying installation.

The module is energised by Tongwei’s proprietary 360° 3D passivation technology, which minimises energy losses in low-light circumstances, allowing for longer daily energy generation by starting sooner at dawn and continuing later until dusk. Furthermore, the use of Louvred Interconnection technology increases the distribution of stress on the module and hence minimises the likelihood of micro-cracks induced by snow and wind loads, which is especially relevant in high latitude European markets. Its homogeneous and attractive look makes it possible to integrate the module in the modern residential architecture without any problem.

To improve its capability to provide application-oriented solar solutions for worldwide energy needs, Tongwei provides utility-scale TNC 3.0 BIFIMAX with high yield and TNC 2.0 G12R-48 with aesthetics for rooftop applications.
