Track Ather's Fast Charging Stations in Real Time on Google Maps

In order to give customers of electric vehicles (EVs) access to real-time availability information for two-wheeler rapid charging stations, Ather Energy has partnered with Google. Thanks to this collaboration, EV owners whose two-wheelers have the Light Electric Combined Charging System (LECCS) connector standard can find Ather Grid fast chargers on Google Maps, along with real-time updates on the chargers’ status.

Ather Grid fast-charging stations may now be found on Google Maps with real-time status updates. Additionally, Google Maps will automatically list newly installed chargers. Since LECCS is now formally recognized as a plug type, users can configure Google Maps to utilize it as their default connection or plug type. As a result, when someone searches for “EV charger near me” or “charging stations” on Google Maps, chargers equipped with LECCS will show up. Any car with LECCS can find and use Ather fast-charging stations thanks to this feature.

Based on the locally created LECCS, which has been certified for nationwide deployment by the Bureau of Indian Standards, is Ather Grid’s fast-charging network for electric two-wheelers. The industry views the new standard, which was introduced last year, as a major step toward creating an industry-wide standard through interoperability, which might help electric car adoption in India expand

The partnership with Google Maps complies with Ather’s emphasis on innovation in the electric vehicle (EV) sector, which the business credits to its R&D expenditures since its founding in 2013. In the realm of electric two-wheelers, Ather has brought in a number of features, such as a mobile app, quick charging, onboard navigation, reverse mode, and a touchscreen dashboard. The two-wheelers’ more recent integrations include WhatsApp notifications, Alexa capabilities, and Google Maps navigation.
