Trontek Enters Residential Energy Storage Market with Launch of Powercube 1.4 Kwh and Powercube 2.7Kwh Lithium-Ion Battery Systems

Trontek, one of India’s most trusted lithium-ion battery manufacturers, today announced its entry into the residential energy storage segment with the launch of Powercube 1.4 kWh and Powercube 2.7 kWh—its first direct-to-home lithium-ion battery systems designed to power Indian households with reliable, long-life, and solar-integrated energy backup.

This marks a pivotal strategic shift for the company from being a leading OEM supplier to becoming a consumer-centric clean-energy solutions brand. The Powercube range is available in two capacity variants: 1.4 kWh and 2.7 kWh—each offered in both Standard and Premium models. The Standard series includes the Powercube 1.4 with a compact SOC indicator and the Powercube 2.7 without an SOC display. The Premium 1.4+ kWh and 2.7+ kWh models feature an upgraded LED status display for enhanced user visibility and monitoring. The full range will be rolled out across regions with high rooftop solar adoption, rising residential energy demand, and frequent grid interruptions.

Built on Trontek’s two-decade legacy in lithium-ion engineering, advanced BMS architecture, and rigorous safety testing, the Powercube series brings the company’s proven technical excellence from electric mobility and industrial applications directly into homes. The systems are designed for both grid backup and hybrid solar usage, offering superior performance, higher storage efficiency, and significantly longer operating life compared to conventional lead-acid solutions.

Speaking on the launch, Samrath S Kochar, Founder & CEO, Trontek, said: “India is entering a new energy era where self-reliance, electrification, and renewable integration are converging faster than ever before. Our Powercube series of residential battery storage systems is designed for this moment – an India that wants cleaner backup power, smarter storage, and solutions built for the future, not the past. As rooftop solar expands, residential energy needs get more complex, and sustainability becomes mainstream, home-level storage will sit at the heart of our nation’s energy transition. By bringing our technology directly into households, across high-potential markets, we are helping accelerate India’s vision of a cleaner, more resilient and energy-independent future.”

The launch of Powercube represents a significant milestone in Trontek’s evolution. Having established itself as a leading battery partner for electric mobility—particularly for e-rickshaws, two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and industrial power systems—the company is now extending its capabilities to empower families, small businesses, solar households, and emerging clean-energy users. With continuous investment in R&D, materials optimization, safety science, and manufacturing systems, Trontek is positioning itself as a long-term enabler of India’s clean-energy transformation.

Powercube 1.4 kWh and Powercube 2.7 kWh will be available through Trontek’s authorized distributor and channels. The company will also run consumer education initiatives to highlight the operational, financial, and environmental advantages of lithium-ion storage over lead-acid batteries—particularly in solar-linked homes where charging time, efficiency, and lifecycle matter most.

KEY TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

As India deepens its commitment to clean power, distributed energy systems, and the broader ambition of Viksit Bharat, Trontek’s foray into residential energy storage positions the company at the center of one of the country’s most consequential transitions—where clean mobility meets clean energy, and households become active contributors to energy security and the national clean-energy mission.
