U Power Signs a Second Electric Service Provider Agreement to Enter Singapore

The company U Power Limited, which offers complete battery-swapping solutions for electric vehicles and is working to become a smart energy grid solutions provider, announced that it has signed another Electric Service Provider (“ESP”) agreement to make it easier to install its UOTTA battery-swapping stations and sell compatible EVs in Singapore.

U Power signed its first-ever ESP deal in Macau in June 2025, and this new arrangement marks the company’s official debut into the Singapore market. In accordance with the agreement, the local ESP partner will market U Power’s UOTTA smart battery-swapping stations for sale, installation, and upkeep. Additionally, the partner will market and provide after-sale care for compatible vehicles in Singapore, particularly passenger cars and commercial vans. U Power and its partner, UNEX EV B.V., a new energy and technology firm located in the Netherlands that collaborates with OEM partners to create intelligent battery-swapping vehicles, will provide and distribute these stations and compatible EVs.

In addition to converting its own 300 MG EP taxis that are presently in electric service into battery-charging and -swapping compatible EVs, the ESP partner anticipates buying and reselling around 5,000 suitable battery-swapping cars to end consumers over the course of the next three years. Additionally, U Power’s UOTTA battery-swapping stations will be run by the ESP partner, who will also offer matching battery-swapping services for the sold automobiles.

Johnny Lee, CEO and Chairman of U Power, commented, “Following U Power’s official entry into the Macau market, we are excited to announce another milestone in our strategy of expanding our global footprint, by entering the Singapore market. We are on track to establish a mature battery-swapping ecosystem in the Southeast Asia market and believe this replicable ESP model will enable us to capture market share by working with reputable and resourceful local partners.”
