Vikram Solar Wins 187 MW Module Supply Order for Solar Projects in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu

Vikram Solar, one of India’s leading solar PV module manufacturers, has secured a 187 MW module supply order from a leading renewable energy developer for solar projects at three locations across Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.

Under the agreement, Vikram Solar will supply its high-efficiency N-Type TOPCon G12R modules, featuring glass-to-glass construction and bifacial technology, with power ratings ranging from 615–625 Wp.

The engagement builds on Vikram Solar’s existing association with the developer, reflecting continued confidence in the company’s technology portfolio and execution capabilities. The order adds to Vikram Solar’s growing pipeline as an integrated domestic manufacturer at a time when India is scaling up toward its target of 500 GW of non-fossil capacity. With ongoing expansion in high-efficiency cell manufacturing and sustained demand from leading developers, the company continues to strengthen its order book and its contribution to the country’s clean energy transition.

Sameer Nagpal, Chief Executive Officer, Vikram Solar, said, “As India’s solar sector continues to scale, the focus is increasingly on technologies that can deliver performance, reliability and long-term value across utility-scale projects. At Vikram Solar, we remain committed to advancing our technology capabilities and maintaining the manufacturing and execution standards that our customers expect, delivering dependable, high-efficiency solar solutions that support the evolving needs of India’s renewable energy sector.”

Vikram Solar Limited is one of the leading Indian solar module manufacturers, specializing in efficient photovoltaic (PV) module manufacturing, with an international presence across 39 countries. Headquartered in Kolkata, West Bengal, it is one of the largest PV module manufacturers in India. Vikram Solar is a 9th time ‘Top Performer’ in PVEL’s PV Module Reliability scorecard and has been included in the Tier 1 solar PV modules manufacturer list of Bloomberg NEF for 9 consecutive quarters. Vikram Solar Limited has established a pan-India presence through an extensive distributor network of 119 authorized distributors and more than 750+ dealers.
