VSL PowerHive, the battery and energy storage division of Vikram Solar, has expanded its VION product portfolio with the launch of new 10 kWh and 15 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) energy storage systems for residential applications. The new solutions are designed to help homeowners maximise rooftop solar usage, reduce dependence on the electricity grid, and ensure reliable backup power.
The latest additions target India’s growing Residential Energy Storage System (RESS) and rooftop solar market, where demand for higher-capacity battery solutions is increasing. According to the company, the systems enable users to store electricity generated from solar panels or the grid for use during power outages or peak demand periods.
The new VION battery systems use advanced LFP battery technology, known for its safety, long life, and reliable performance. Equipped with an intelligent Battery Management System (BMS), the batteries continuously monitor and optimise performance, improving safety, efficiency, and overall system reliability.
Designed for Indian households, the storage systems can handle higher electrical loads, making them suitable for powering multiple appliances while providing extended backup. The company also said the batteries require zero maintenance and are built to perform in different climatic conditions across the country.
Each system comes with a 60-month warranty, offering customers long-term support and confidence in product performance.
