Waaree Power, a wholly owned subsidiary of Waaree Energies Ltd, has commissioned two 1.525 GW solar inverter manufacturing lines, totaling 3.05 GW, at its Sarodhi-Valsad facility in Gujarat. The facility commenced commercial operations on December 29, 2025, at 10 a.m., the company informed stock exchanges in a regulatory filing under SEBI Listing Obligations.
The new lines will manufacture both single-phase and three-phase on-grid inverters, supporting the growing demand for domestic inverter solutions. The manufacturing unit is housed within the existing Waaree Power factory premises. The expansion is expected to strengthen Waaree’s position in the domestic solar equipment market and further enhance its renewable energy value chain capabilities.
India Solar Market Leaderboard 2025, string inverters now account for 51.3% of total inverter supply, surpassing central inverters, which declined by 55.2% from 2023. In line with government guidelines, the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy mandated domestic inverter manufacturers supplying under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana to integrate inverter communication devices with the PM Surya Ghar portal, highlighting the need for secure and local inverter solutions.
Waaree Energies’ offerings include solar modules, battery energy storage systems, and electrolyzer stacks. In December 2025, the company also commissioned 1.5 GW of high-efficiency N-type module manufacturing lines at its Samakhiali, Kutch plant, bringing its total global module manufacturing capacity to 22.3 GW (19.7 GW in India and 2.6 GW in the U.S.).
To strengthen its polysilicon supply chain, Waaree Solar Americas announced the acquisition of 53,68,551 Series B shares of United Solar Holding for $30 million. Additionally, Waaree Energy Storage Systems secured funding to scale battery cell and containerized energy storage manufacturing across India and select international markets.
Rajesh Ghanshyam Gaur, Company Secretary and Compliance Officer, said in the filing, “The commissioning of the Sarodhi-Valsad facility marks a key milestone in expanding Waaree’s manufacturing capabilities across the renewable energy value chain.”
