WattPower, a leading renewable energy solutions provider, has enhanced its manufacturing capabilities through advanced technology integration, increasing its production capacity to 11 GW. The development marks a key step in the company’s efforts to scale operations and support the growing demand for solar infrastructure across India.
WattPower has been steadily growing its presence in India’s renewable energy sector since it started doing business there in 2022 with a manufacturing facility in Chennai. The company has provided a total of 24 GW of utility-scale string inverters over the past few years. These inverters have helped with solar installations on large projects and distributed energy systems.
The company’s Chennai factory has been able to make 10 GW of power every year, which has been used for solar projects in a number of different areas. WattPower is now increasing its manufacturing capacity to 11 GW by combining advanced production technologies with process optimisation. This will make production more efficient and allow the company to respond more quickly to market demand.
WattPower’s inverter solutions have been used in a lot of solar projects, including ones built by top renewable energy companies and state-level projects like PM-KUSUM. They have also been used in captive solar projects in states like Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Maharashtra.
Commenting on the development, Divya Prakash Choraria, CEO and co-founder, said, “India’s solar sector continues to grow at a rapid pace, creating strong demand for reliable and efficient power electronics. By strengthening our manufacturing capabilities and integrating advanced technologies into our production processes, we are well-positioned to support the next phase of renewable energy growth in the country.”
As more and more people in India switch to solar power, WattPower is still working on improving its manufacturing capabilities, adding new products to its line, and helping the country use more renewable energy on a large scale.
