    Active EV Tenders in India 2023

    EV Tenders in IndiaThe introduction of electric vehicles tagged with the concept of green mobility has overturned the automobile industry in the whirlwind of attaining sustainable mobility. This has become specifically true for automotive-based businesses that are thriving under the banner of electric vehicles.

    With the surge of EV-focused startups blooming in every part of the country, the government of India has been floating multiple varieties of tenders to replace their transport fleet with electric ones.

    Before citing some of the recent EV Tenders in India that are notable and still active to date, let’s check all about tenders.

    Talking about the types of EV Tenders in India, the list includes open tender, selective tender, serial tender, negotiated tender and term tender.

    Generally, organizations like central government departments, local government, councils, the army, police, and other emergency services are some examples of public sector organizations that use the tendering process.

    Active EV Tenders in India – 2023

    Listing some of the latest EV Tenders in India that are active to date includes,

    Tender #1 – Uttar Pradesh

    TendersCommitted to addressing the widening gap of electric vehicle penetration in the state while adding its name to the active list of EV Tenders in India, the Uttar Pradesh government has announced its roadmap to establish EV charging stations across the state in a phase-wise manner.

    Targeting the goals mentioned in EV Policy, the state’s Urban Planning department has already extended the sphere of the Comprehensive Electric Mobility Plan (CEMP) to 17 cities with municipal corporations that will start the process in the first phase.

    Bid Submission Deadline: July 22, 2023

    EV Tenders in India Description: Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) announced a tender for establishing charging stations for electric vehicles in Lucknow.

    Tender #2 – Delhi 

    ChargingTargeting to achieve new milestones in the development of EV infrastructure, the Delhi government has been working on setting up 18,000 public EV charging stations across the city by next year.

    Currently, the charging infrastructure in Delhi’s 11 districts is now being looked at owing to the skewed distribution of charging stations as the southwest district has 890 charging stations, and the northeast and Shahdara have 30-odd charging stations each. Apart from them, other districts with a high number of public charging stations include the southeast with 334 stations, west with 317, northwest with 275, New Delhi with 248, and east with 246 stations, hence adding its name to Active EV Tenders in India.

    Bid Submission Deadline: June 30, 2023

    EV Tenders in India Description: Health and Family Welfare Department had invited bids for hiring of electric vehicles (Short Term) for Delhi Govt. Users, wherein they needed Tata Tigor EV for 3000 Km and 300 hours per month.

    Tender #3 – Maharashtra

    Led by the electric two-wheeler market, Maharashtra has witnessed a steady rise of battery-operated vehicle shares growing from 13% from 4% in the last five fiscals. According to a report, the state has seen a 208% year-on-year growth in registrations of EVs in 2022-23 to 1.6 lakhs unit.

    So far, Maharashtra has a total of 660 public charging stations as per the record. However, in Maharashtra and Karnataka, the proportion of electric three-wheelers is lesser, in comparison to electric cars. Maharashtra had around 17,216 and Karnataka had 10,249 electric cars. With the increase of EV Tenders in India, more induction of electric vehicles can be expected in the near future.

    EV Tenders in India Description: Ministry of Defence had floated a tender for 10 Electric Light Motor Vehicle in Mumbai, Maharashtra.

    Tender #4 – Madhya Pradesh

    BusesAccording to the latest available data, Madhya Pradesh has 2130 two-wheelers, 2230 e-rickshaws, 220 four-wheelers and 201 goods carriers registered.

    In total, the state has zero percent subsidy and 4% RTO fee for EVs and has 47,000 EVs registered with the RTO. The state government has, however, planned to integrate 2,200 electric buses in its transport soon as more EV Tenders in India get approvals.

    Tender Type: Open

    Price: ₹ 8500

    Bid Submission Deadline: June 22, 2023

    EV Tenders in India Description: Department of Defence Production had invited bids for a battery-operated vehicle in Jabalpur Madhya Pradesh.
